Ness fishery board to stage annual public meeting

The Ness District Salmon Fisheries Board will hold its annual public meeting at 19:30 on Thursday, January 22, in the Kingsmills Suite of the Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club stadium. Officers will present the board’s annual report and accounts for 2014 and review its activities for the next year. Nick Barker of the Ness and Beauly Fisheries Trust will summarise its work and plans and guest speaker Professor Eric Verspoor, director of the Rivers and Lochs Institute, will discuss the River Carron Restoration Research Project and assess the evidence for the performance of hatchery stocking.
